Irvine Cross - Preview

Like cyclocross? Like sand? Like the seaside? The you'll love this Sunday's round of the Scottish Cyclocross series in Irvine. The couse takes in the trademark section through the dunes again, but is a largely different course to last year, with more singletrack, and less exposed windy sections, and a shorter lap length.

Please note that the car park is on Marine Drive this year, and not at the Magnum as last year - turn left at the roundabout before the Magnum, and follow Marine Drive for approximately 1/4 mile - car park, sign-on, start/finish etc will all be there.

Update: Also worth noting that the Baillie Bridge in Irvine (main route from A78 to the Harbourside) is closed for replacement just now, there are diversions in place (either via the town centre, or the Gailes), but will add a few minutes to your journey.
