Cross at the Castle, Isle of Mull - Preview

Time to break out your race-faces for one last weekend of cyclocross action and it's a corker. The Cross at the Castle events at Glengorm Castle on the Isle of Mull are set at what must be one of the most scenic cyclocross course in the UK

Davie has been in touch with some news on timings and his highlights of the weekend. 


To allow people plenty of time to get on and off the island, the event times have been re-jigged a little:

Saturday
12.15 Under 12s

Sunday

Highlights
£100 first prize for the senior race - both days
Loads of prizes donated by local businesses
Santacross World Championships

Glengorm Coffee Shop - open for lovely, home-made food and coffees
A special appearance by Liesbet de Vocht, current Belgian time trial champion
Jammy's dulcet tones


UPDATE - from our Tobermory correspondent

One of the local craft shops is having a charities day on Saturday, 10% of all sales goes to the Lifeboat and Mary's Meals - Baliscate, just on outskirts of Tobermory
The soap factory is having a party 1000 'til 1800 with drink and nibbles -  Main Street
The local chocolate shop is open at 1000 for coffee and chocolate, Main Street
The dinner dance is now fully booked but you can still come to the dance - 2200 to 0100!



and The Big One - Glengorm Coffee shop will be doing Stornoway Black Pudding rolls on Saturday (ed: YES!)
