This looks great, just what we need for the winter. Couple of questions:

How do we join SCX?
How do we enter the events / series?

Thanks very much.

Hi Simon,

No need to join SCX, any mention of membership in relation to entry fees is that of British / Scottish Cycling. League tables are put together by us once we get to the 2nd round.

All events, with the exception of the Scottish Championships, will offer entry on the day - if you'd prefer to enter in advance, then see the link below with information on postal entries.

Look forward to seeing you there.

Cool. See you out there.

Thinking ahead, with regards to the Auchentoshan champs event do you need to have a racing licence to enter? I generally just race casually and enter on the day as an 'unattached' so would be a shame not to be able to take part in my local event. Failing that, is there any thoughts on putting on a non-championship race for all cats?
Cheers for any info.

Hi Ian,

Yes, full licences and pre-entry are required for the Scottish Championships in-line with other Scottish Cycling championship events.

We'll raise the idea of an open race at Auchentoshan with Glasgow United.

Second that for Auchentoshan, would love to race there again... it's a great event and course is fantastic.

Hi Tommy,

As long as you have a full race licence and qualify (see this article from 2010 - then you're more than welcome to race.

Is it ok to just turn up and register @ the Plean race on Sunday. It says the vets race is @ 11.45, when does registration close. Never raced before, looks like a great set up.

Please advise
